Our Team

Dedicated to teaching the importance of philanthropy, Karen Jackson is the visionary founder of Results in Giving. Karen created and managed The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Office of Gift & Estate Planning, successfully raising tens of millions of dollars in arts and funds. She is an attorney with experience in estate planning, non-profit, corporate, real estate and entertainment law. Karen is an energetic people-person who enjoys lecturing, writing, and marketing endeavors of all kinds. She loves cats, kids and crazy colors.

Creative Director Susan Rzepka is an expressive writer with a variety of newspaper, magazine, marketing and media experience. She uses words and images to capture elusive sentiments, intentions and ideas with precision and certitude. Degreed in research and statistics, an experienced online media director and one-time travel agent, Susan gathers information, analyzes needs and executes a course in clear communication strategies that show she “gets it.” She loves hikes, bikes and lightning strikes.

Robert A. Valente is a certified financial planner and Director of Business Development for Results in Giving. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of life-planning strategies that focus on financial freedom and peace of mind. Robert founded RAV Financial Services on the precept that “smart financial choices impact the quality of your life.” A former high school teacher and coach, Robert continues to provide guidance, inspiration and education through his frequent speaking engagements. He loves art, athletics and positive attitudes.

Proven expertise in philanthropic planning Jessica Schmidle brings charm and enthusiasm to our team. Jessica came to us with a well diverse background in development, planned giving, estate, and financial planning. She recognized her talents while working at the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra in their Development Department as one of the first employees focused solely on Planned Giving and as a Paralegal. She also broadened her horizons while working in the Estate Planning Division of McDonald Financial Group, A KeyCorp Company, where she had great success in assisting advisors with charitable proposals focusing on the clients needs to preserve and gift money to families while including charities as a very important component to their philanthropic planning. Jessica is an animal lover with all rescued animals of her own and she truly loves spending time with family and friends.

Project Director Robert Williams has broad experience in event planning, public relations, and procurement methods designed to deliver. While he possesses a keen eye for the big picture, Robert pays particular attention to perfecting the small details important to the success of every project plan. A former detective and police officer, and an active recreation guide, Robert continues to offer clients safety, security and sensibility in giving ways. He loves fly-fishing, family fun and festive Friday nights.

Fees

Our fee structure is designed to provide maximum flexibility and value so you can always call when needed, when you need us the most without worrying about watching the clock. Rates can be project based, daily, quarterly or annually. Once our work with you begins, we will monitor costs, keep you informed and reevaluate as necessary to meet your needs and maximize your budget.

Fees exclude transportation and lodging. Under certain circumstances, travel expenses can be shared between clients. Additional expenses for courier charges, photo copying and other miscellaneous expenses may be added.
